Power of Music
May 7th, 2011
Music is within us all. We dance and clap and learn to wiggle if given the slightest encouragement. Acknowledging and encouraging our young children to respond to music, words, signs and laughter can only bring self confidence, communication skills and a curiosity for learning; worthy steps in the developmental process of children.
Studies have suggested that music:
- nourishes the brain
- strengthens listening, speaking, motor skills.
- provides opportunities for emotional, cognitive and social skill development
- encourages interaction/participation in a non threatening way
Music in early childhood can make a huge impact on a child’s life, which is why I am pleased that my music is being used by hundreds of daycares and preschools across the country. My educationally based, interactive CDs offer a variety of experiences for developmental growth. Preschools use the playful melodies and interactive approach to teaching while early elementary grades enjoy the sign language component of my music. Through music, learning is encouraged in a fun and innovative way. Read what some educators have to say about my award winning CDs.
